Welcome to the Art Therapy Nook
I define "nook" as a secure place to seek refuge. In the Art Therapy Nook, you will find comfort and safety within the therapeutic relationship and the creative art process. Together we can explore where you've been, where you are now, and develop a path toward where you want to be.
I bring my authentic self to sessions with my clients, as well as creativity, collaboration, and a bit of humor. I enjoy using a combination of art therapy and traditional talk therapies to help my clients reach a greater sense of wellness in their lives.
Most of my clients are adolescents (ages 14+) and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or eating disorders. I work often with clients who are neurodivergent thinkers (ADHD, Autism), and/or folx who identify as members of the "rainbow" community (LGBTQIA2S+).
With every significant change, there is usually some grief that comes with it. I have additional experience helping clients navigate the complex emotions that arise from major life events (e.g., the COVID-19 pandemic, transitioning into young adulthood, starting a new job/losing a job, moving, etc.), loss in the traditional sense (i.e., loss of a loved one, friend, or pet), and the unexpected grief that can sometimes accompany therapeutic growth (e.g., letting go of unhelpful coping patterns that once served a purpose in your life).
To schedule a FREE 20-minute phone or video consultation with me, please fill out the contact form below. I will respond to your inquiry within 1-3 business days. Looking forward to getting to know you!
